The team at Urban Beauty Academy are dedicated to the highest standards of excellence and they are committed to helping you achieve professional success in the style and beauty industry.

When completing your practitioner training in Singapore, you will have the support and guidance of Ms. Theresa Huang, a master trainer of the Style Coaching Institute®, who has 30+ years of experience in the beauty industry and 10 years of experience supporting our Style Coach™ graduates living in Asia.

Participants of the Stylist Practitioner Program in Singapore are able to benefit from the specialist support of the team at Urban Beauty Academy, who have designed their educational delivery and facilitation with strong emphasis on practical hands-on application to ensure that learners are able to apply the techniques taught to different physical and psychological profiles when working with clients, and to draw out the potential of every individual.

The Stylist Practitioner Program is a local Singapore certification provided by Urban Beauty Academy using personal styling techniques created and approved by the Style Coaching Institute®. The Stylist Practitioner Program offers participants a basic foundation to personal styling but participants should note that completion of this program does not lead to Diploma Certification.

At the end of the 6 days program, learners will be equipped with a full knowledge of Stylist Practitioner Program and would be able give recommendations to achieve a desirable personal image for the respective body shapes and personalities, complete with make-up and hairstyling for ladies or men. Learners will be able to:

  • Identify personalities, body shapes, suitability of fashion style for the different personalities body shapes
  • Understand the use of choices of colours & characteristics of accessories to complement styling to achieve the desired image
  • Ability to provide comprehensive advice on Skincare, Make-up and Haircare
  • Complete styling with make-up and hairstyling to complement the Styling
  • Effectively be a Professional Stylist Practitioner to provide image consultancy or provide professional styling services to fashion stores

STYLIST PRACTITIONER PROGRAM – 6 days with local certification – S$4,500

The 6-day comprehensive Stylist Practitioner Program will enable learners to have the full scope of an image consultant with the knowledge of fashion styling for ladies and men, acquiring the know-how in colour applications, skincare, make-up and hairstyling applications to effectively be a good Stylist Practitioner. Learners will have an insight of :

  • Understanding of Style Personalities for ladies and men
  • Styling the different body shapes for ladies, with an in-depth knowledge of ways to dress for a slimmer look, tall or petite enhancement and the use of foundation garments
  • Use of colours & accessories to complement styling
  • Comprehensive Men’s Styling and accessorising
  • Top-to-toe Care Plan
  • Skincare, Make-up & Hairstyling to complete the desired image
  • Personal Branding / Signature & Confidence
  • Effective Stylist Practitioner in action
STYLE COACHING™ ADVANCED MAKEUP DYNAMICS – 4 days (full-time, 30hrs) with UK Certifications – S$1,500
The 4-day intensive make-up course will enable learners to understand the advanced knowledge of make-up applications with hairstyling. In addition, how to achieve a professional personal image that projects appropriate corporate image, confidence with a lasting impression on others. Learners will have an insight of:
  • The various makeup services and how to prepare an appropriate makeup plan
  • Understanding of skin types, skin tones, facial shapes and features and the different techniques of corrections to enhance features
  • Understanding of lighting and photography impact on makeup results
  • Understanding of makeup routines and application techniques and design makeup for different occasions according to the client’s personality
  • Understanding of how to co-ordinate makeup and hairstyling to complete the professional look
  • Hairstyling for different occasions, using different hairstyling equipment
  • Knowledge of makeup trends i.e. ‘Korean Look’, ‘Smokey-Eyed Look’, etc
  • Practical & hands-on learning

At the end of the 4 day course, learners will be equipped with advanced knowledge of makeup applications and grooming techniques together with hairstyling for the different occasions.

STYLE COACHING™ ADVANCED SKINCARE DYNAMICS – 4 days (full-time, 30hrs) with UK Certifications – S$1,200

This 4 days comprehensive advanced skincare workshop will enable participants to understand the advanced key knowledge of skincare that includes:

  • Insight into skincare consultations & appropriate solutions for different skin types and skin conditions
  • Skincare routines and their effects on the skin
  • Key ingredients & functions used in skincare products
  • An understanding of how allergies are caused
  • Skincare functions & benefits with effective home massage therapies to complement various treatments
  • Knowledge of skincare trends

At the end of the 4 day workshop, participants will be equipped with an advanced understanding of skincare, they will be able to handle enquires on skincare and the routines to adopt in use of skincare products.

STYLE COACHING™ BUSINESS & SOCIAL ETIQUETTE – 4 days with UK Certifications – S$4,500
The 4 days intensive Business & Social etiquette course will encompass business meetings & savvy communications including professional presentation. In addition, how to dine and entertain clients in business dealings as well as a social environment. Learners will have an insight of:
Business Etiquette (2.5 days) – Meeting with Clients:
  • The art of Savvy communications including posture, & body language
  • Professional business representation
  • Office workplace Etiquette – telephone etiquette, email etiquette
  • Social Media Etiquette
  • Business presentation skills
  • Civility & Professionalism
  • Dining Etiquette
Social Etiquette (1.5 days) – Personal & Family Etiquette:
  • Social communication skills
  • Hosting dining events including set up & preparations
  • How to dress for different social occasions
  • Gifts & appreciation

At the end of the 4 days workshop, learners will be equipped with skills in business & social etiquette and knowledge of dining etiquette applications including being a outstanding host for the different social occasions.
